It is said that 80% of people in the USA want to write a book. I am one of those people who fall in to said category. The sad thing is I am not sure of what to write about. Do I just write something out of nothing or do I do some research into what I believe about Christianity? It’s a tough question for me to answer. I had thought I wanted to write a devotional book and who knows by the end of this, it may just be what I end up with. Or maybe I’ll be like R.C. Sproul and combine the sermons I write about a specific book into a commentary.
No matter what I end up writing my goal is to glorify Jesus from beginning to end. There are many people who deserve thanks for the work being produced. First Jesus Christ for redeeming my soul from the agony sin brings, and ushering me into the glorious light. Then comes my wife, for being with me through the thick and the thin, she has supported me when I have had nothing and cheered me on through my educational journey on the way to getting my Mdiv. My mom has been a huge support to my family and with out her I am not sure we would have been able to accomplish the things we have. To my brother from another mother, Wendall Lowe, he was there for the tough times, seen me change from a young boy wild’n out to a man chasing hard after Christ. To all of my Swamp Jumper outdoorsmens ministry crew for supporting me on my journey, helping me go from a guy who had never taught a thing to teaching regularly and coming out to churches to support my preaching. To all of the pastor’s who have been in my life giving opportunity whether I was a member of their church or not.
To everyone who has supported me and even those who turned their back on me at the height of the struggle, I thank you. Those who supported me keep watching I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store next. For those who turned, keep watching too, because I’m still hustling and making moves that you don’t understand. God has done more in me than I ever thought possible.
